British Pharmaceutical Students’ Association

The British Pharmaceutical Students’ Association was founded in 1942 and is the only national body that solely represents pharmacy students and pre-registration trainee pharmacists. As the official student organisation of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, the BPSA exists to promote the interests and welfare of its members.

The BPSA regularly represents the views of its members on a range of current topics. We produce our own discussion papers, respond to consultations and attend meetings with individual stakeholder organisations. Recently, the BPSA has produced a discussion paper about the imbalance between pharmacy undergraduate and pre-registration placement numbers.

Now in its 73rd year, the BPSA also aims to educate and entertain our members. We organise a wide range of events and services over the course of the year. For more information, please visit the Events section of our website. We hope you will find something of interest to you!

The BPSA would not be able to exist without our Executive. Made up of 19 members, these are the people who coordinate all of the events and service the BPSA offers. The Executive complete their roles in addition to everyday roles. They are all either completing their university studies, pre-registration training or are newly qualified pharmacists. In addition to the Executive, the BPSA have a network of National and International Representatives who are based throughout UK in every School of Pharmacy.
